Glencoe Guided Hikes
Glencoe is a magical part of Scotland with fantastic hiking routes. Summit Scotland offers a range of guided hikes from The Hidden Valley low-level walk to challenging mountain hikes like The Three Sisters.
Here are a selection of guided Glencoe hikes. If you don’t see anything that interests you, or you have a specific route in mind, get in touch.
The Three Sisters
Distance: 12km / 7.5 miles
Ascent: 1,460m / 4,790 feet
Duration: 6-8 hours
Summits: 1 or 2 Munros
Terrain: scrambling & scree
Difficulty: hard
The Three Sisters of Glen Coe is one of the finest mountain walks in Scotland. If you’re happy with scree and mild scrambling, it’s the Glencoe hike that I recommend. The route also includes The Hidden Valley.
Buachaille Etive Mòr
Distance: 14km / 8.7 miles
Ascent: 1,245m / 4,085 feet
Duration: 5-7 hours
Summits: 1 or 2 Munros
Terrain: mild scrambling
Difficulty: moderate to hard
The “Buckle“ is the most photographed mountain in Scotland. It’s imposing stature gives it the name “The Great Herdsman of Etive“. From the summit, the views out towards Rannoch Moor are fantastic. This route can be made shorter by just summiting Stob Dearg.

Pap of Glencoe

The Pap of Glencoe is the prominent bump in the backdrop of Glencoe’s landscape. There’s a short scramble to get to the top but the views are phenomenal. This route can be extended to a full day to summit the Munro of Sgòrr nam Fiannaidh.
