About
Hi, I’m Trev and, hopefully, I’ll be your walking guide in the Scottish mountains. We might be spending 5-8 hours walking together, so here’s a little bit about me and you can read reviews on Tripadvisor.
I studied software engineering at Aberdeen University and worked in software for over 20 years. Around 2019, I decided that life was short, so I converted a campervan and travelled Europe & Scotland for a few years.
Now, my life is a balance of working in the outdoors, freelance software, travel & blogging. I swap the cold Scottish winters for exploring Europe in my campervan, mainly in the south of Spain. While I’m in Europe, I dabble in mountain trekking, via ferrata and sampling local food & red wine.
I enjoy the health, fitness & wellbeing aspect of the outdoors. I’m slowly working my way through the Munros and particularly enjoy the challenge of multi-Munro routes with high-altitude camps.
Qualifications & Insurance
You’re in safe hands, I’m a qualified MTA Mountain Leader with a Work Safe outdoor first aid certificate, plus public liability & professional indemnity insurance through Marsh Sports.
